What this calculator can estimate
Make's current Help Center says non-AI apps use fixed credit consumption by default: one operation equals one credit. This calculator applies that rule to repeated workflow events and extra fixed-credit operations.
It does not estimate dynamic AI usage. Token-based, file-size, page-count, run-time, or specially tagged multi-credit modules can consume differently. Use the module's current Make label and your real usage history for those cases.

Our Webhook → Google Sheets run used 2 credits per handoff
On September 9, 2026, Oravenda sent three synthetic inputs through a two-module Make route: Custom Webhook → Google Sheets Add a Row. The account balance moved from 996 to 990 credits across the three manually processed handoffs: six credits total, or two per handoff.

HOW TO CALCULATE MAKE CREDITS
Use the fixed-credit formula before you choose a plan
For a simple fixed-credit workflow, start with:
monthly credits ≈ monthly events × fixed-credit operations per event + other observed fixed-credit operations
If you run identical scenarios, multiply the result by the number of copies. Then verify the estimate with a real test because branching, repeated bundles, retries, tests, or specially priced modules can change usage.

INTERPRET THE NUMBER
Credits are only one reason a plan may or may not fit
Make's pricing page currently lists Free at up to 1,000 credits per month. A workflow estimate below 1,000 does not automatically mean Free fits: active-scenario limits, scheduling interval, data transfer, file size, API access, and feature requirements can matter too.

Does one module always equal one credit?
No. Make says one operation equals one credit by default for fixed-credit usage, including non-AI apps. Some features carry fixed rates above one credit, while dynamic AI and advanced features can depend on tokens or other usage factors.
Should I use this calculator for AI modules?
No. Use it for fixed-credit planning only. AI features can have dynamic consumption, so read the module's current credit tag and measure a real test.
What should I enter for polling or retries?
Add fixed-credit operations you actually observe as monthly extras. If you have not measured them yet, keep the estimate conservative and verify with a small real run before relying on the number.
Is Make Free enough if the result is under 1,000?
Not necessarily. It only means the estimate fits the current Free credit allowance. Other Free-plan limits can still matter.
Low-risk next step: test the smallest version on Free, read the actual credit usage, then decide whether you need more capacity.
